New ENERG (Modernisation Fund)

Preferential Interest-Free Loan for Energy-Efficient Projects and Measures for Entrepreneurs and Companies

The New ENERG programme, financed from the Modernisation Fund, is intended for companies of all sizes planning projects that lead to energy savings. The interest-free New ENERG loans help businesses finance projects focused on reducing energy consumption.

The programme is available exclusively for projects implemented in business premises located within the Capital City of Prague. It may also be used for projects carried out by enterprises operating installations under the EU ETS scheme, headquartered anywhere in the Czech Republic.

Programme Parameters and Benefits
Loan Amount
CZK 0.5–60 million

Loans are provided in the range of CZK 500,000 to CZK 60 million, covering up to 90% of eligible project costs.
Maximum Financing Rate
Up to 90%

The loan may cover up to 90% of eligible project expenditures.
Repayment Period / Grace Period
10 years / up to 2 years
Interest Rate
0% p.a.

The loan carries a 0% interest rate throughout the entire repayment period. Beneficiaries may make early repayments at any time without penalties or additional fees. The provision of the loan is not subject to any other charges.
Financial Contribution / Grant
Up to 20%

The final financial contribution is determined after project completion and is based on the actual amount of the preferential loan drawn and the total eligible project expenditures. The financial contribution cannot exceed the amount of the loan drawn. The award of the financial contribution is also conditional upon proper completion of the project and achievement of the committed energy savings target.
Contribution for an Energy Assessment
Up to CZK 100,000

In addition to the preferential loan, beneficiaries may receive financial support for obtaining an energy assessment. The contribution may cover up to 80% of eligible costs, but no more than CZK 250,000. Please note that the provider is entitled to reduce the maximum amount available. In that case, you can make use of advisory services provided through our ELENA programme, which can help you save 90% of the related costs.

 

The support applies to energy-efficiency projects involving buildings used for business purposes, such as insulation, replacement of windows, new distribution systems and similar measures.

What Can the Loan Be Used For?

Thermal insulation of building envelopes, replacement and renovation of windows and doors, and other construction measures with a demonstrable impact on a building’s energy performance.
Adaptation of buildings to climate change while maintaining indoor environmental quality requirements.
Increasing the energy efficiency of building technical systems, including cooling, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, humidity control, and domestic hot water preparation.
Improving the energy efficiency of building lighting systems.
Deployment and utilisation of renewable energy sources.
Modernisation of electricity, gas, heat, cooling, and compressed-air distribution systems within company energy infrastructures to improve efficiency.
Energy storage solutions of all types as part of comprehensive energy-efficiency projects.
Recovery and utilisation of waste energy.
Reducing energy consumption and increasing the energy efficiency of production and technological processes.
Introduction of energy management measures and operational optimisation tools to regulate energy consumption, including support for the implementation of energy management systems.
