Together with the preferential loan, the beneficiary receives a financial contribution in the form of a grant paid directly to the client’s account. The amount of the financial contribution may reach up to 20% of the total eligible project expenditures (up to the applicable state aid limits). A preliminary calculation of the financial contribution can be carried out together with the bank’s business representative.
The programme is intended for small, medium-sized and large enterprises operating in most business sectors, including: agriculture, manufacturing and construction, retail and wholesale trade, transport and storage, tourism and hospitality, energy and other activities.
The final calculation of the financial contribution is determined after project completion and is based on the actual amount of the preferential loan drawn and the total eligible project expenditures. The financial contribution may not exceed the amount of the loan drawn. The award of the financial contribution is conditional upon proper completion of the project and achievement of the prescribed energy savings.
Activities not supported include, for example, fisheries and aquaculture, tobacco cultivation and processing, wholesale and retail trade in tobacco products, and certain other activities. For details, see Section 5.1(g) of the Call for Applications.
