The objective of the New ELENA (European Local ENergy Assistance) programme is to facilitate the implementation of energy-efficiency measures. The programme focuses on the renovation of existing properties and targeted investments in construction and technological improvements. Through this programme, NRB offers businesses support in preparing energy-efficiency projects at a fraction of the usual cost.
We reimburse up to 90% of eligible expenses related to project preparation.
The programme supports energy-efficiency projects involving measures related to: • The building envelope of business premises (thermal insulation, replacement of windows and doors, shading systems, etc.). • The operation of business premises (heating, domestic hot water preparation, ventilation, cooling, lighting, energy management, renewable energy sources, building automation, and control systems).
The advisory services are intended for businesses planning to invest in energy-efficiency projects involving either the building envelope (insulation, replacement of windows and doors, shading systems, etc.) or building operation systems (heating, hot water preparation, ventilation, cooling, lighting, energy management, renewable energy sources, building automation, and control systems).
Support for project preparation provided under the New ELENA programme does not constitute State aid and therefore does not count towards de minimis aid limits.
The ELENA programme is co-financed through the European Union's InvestEU Advisory Hub and the ELENA (European Local ENergy Assistance) facility managed by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The New ELENA programme provides businesses with expert energy advisory services and funding for the high-quality, comprehensive preparation of energy-efficiency projects. Through the programme, businesses can save 90% of the costs incurred for energy assessments.
The programme also gives businesses access to qualified and experienced energy consultants who help design and prepare projects aimed at improving the energy performance of buildings, such as thermal insulation, window replacement, heating upgrades, or ventilation improvements.
In addition, the New ELENA team assists applicants with the preparation and completion of applications for interest-free financing under the Energy Savings and ENERG programmes.
